Brian and Jasmine met the modern way—in February 2023, on Hinge. What stood out? For Jasmine, it was Brian’s favorite “cry in the car” song: Cowboy Take Me Away by The Dixie Chicks. For Brian, it was Jasmine’s go-to dinner: a rare steak with red wine—his specialty in the kitchen.

After a string of fun and meaningful dates, there was one thing driving Jasmine a little crazy: Brian still hadn’t kissed her. Was he just not that into her… or was he being a true Southern gentleman? (Spoiler alert: it was the latter.)

A few weeks and a few kisses later, Brian met Jasmine’s friends and family—and knew he wanted to make things official. The two quickly fell head over heels and decided to move in together. When you know, you know!

But love stories rarely come without a twist. With everything moving so fast, Jasmine’s parents had some concerns. Before the move-in could happen, Brian sat down for a heartfelt conversation with them—something he now remembers as a defining moment. Needless to say, he won them over.
